CMS 2022 South Central Chapter Conference

College Music Society International Conference
The OSU Faculty Woodwind Trio, Bluestem Blaze, has been selected as Featured Performers for the upcoming College Music Society International Conference in Bogotá and Medellín, Colombia. Originally slated for June 24-30, 2021, this conference will be shifted to 2025.
In addition to my performances with Bluestem Blaze, I will also collaborate with pianist Dr. Susan Wheatley and soprano Dr. Sooah Park in a Katherine Hoover retrospective lecture-recital.

Garfield Park Conservatory: Sunlit
The 2021-2022 Lakeshore Rush Season will kick off with a performance at the Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago on Wednesday, September 29 at 6pm.
Each work featured connects to our natural world and environmental sustainability. We will give the world premiere of our composer-in-residence Amos Gillespie’s new commission for our ensemble, The Entertainment of Being.
Additional pieces include Griffin Candey’s Buckboard Charlie, Gillespie’s Sunlit, Missy Mazzoli’s Still Life with Avalanche, and Laura Schwendinger’s Until the Sunrise.

NFA Virtual Convention 2021
I was selected to perform a duet with flutist Caitlyn Valovick Moore, an ensemble for Walfrid Kujala’s 95th Birthday Concert, and conduct the OSU Flute Octet showcase at last year’s NFA Convention in Dallas, Texas. Unfortunately, this event was canceled due to COVID-19. However, we are excited to be rescheduled for this year’s virtual convention from August 12-15, 2021.
Caitlyn and I will perform Christopher Theofanidis’ Kaoru on the Chamber Premieres concert on Friday, August 13 at 9:30am CDT. The Oklahoma State University Flute Ensemble will perform on Saturday, August 14 in the Flute Choir Showcase #3 at 12pm CDT.

I’ll be performing virtually with Bluestem Blaze at this year’s CMS Northwest Regional Conference held online May 8-9, 2021. Our program is titled “A Little Female Contrast: Woodwind Trios by Living Female Composers” and features works by Thea Musgrave and Elaine Fine.
