CMS Southern Chapter Regional Conference

I’ll be teaming up with mezzo-soprano April Golliver-Mohiuddin and pianist Megan Barth Argo on a performance of Jake Heggie’s The Deepest Desire song cycle on Monday, November 16 at 7:30pm in the McKnight Center for the Performing Arts Recital Hall. Grant Awarded to Support Lakeshore Rush's Garfield Park Conservatory Concert
Lakeshore Rush is very excited to announce that our seeds have been planted for a special one night only concert at the gorgeous Garfield Park Conservatory, made possible by the generous support of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events! This new growth will be an exploration of the connection of music and the arts to the environment around us and the growing need for sustainability. Selections will include works by Mason Bates, Bill Ryan, Christopher Cerrone, Astor Piazzolla, and a new commission by Lakeshore Rush Composer-in-Residence Amos Gillespie. Stay tuned for more details, as we look forward to new safety guidelines for concerts and events.
This project is partially supported by an Individual Artist Program Grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events, as well as a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency, a state agency through federal funds provided by the National Endowment for the Arts.
NACWPI 2020 National Conference
The OSU Faculty Woodwind Trio, Bluestem Blaze, has been selected to perform for the NACWPI 2020 National Conference from October 9-11 and October 16-18. Originally scheduled to take place in Miami, Florida, the organizers have announced that this event will be migrated to a virtual format online.
We’re scheduled to perform on Sunday, October 11 at 1:15pm CST.

Dreaming Grand Avenue Movie Premier
I am ecstatic to announce the world premiere of the film Dreaming Grand Avenue by the Chicago Film Project on September 25, 2020! I had the wonderful pleasure of performing on the movie soundtrack recording with Lakeshore Rush. Congratulations to composer Seth Boustead and writer/director Hugh Schulze on creating this beautiful work!

Lakeshore Rush at PianoForte Studios: Nature's Palette
Lakeshore Rush will perform a concert titled “Nature’s Palette” at PianoForte Studios Chicago (1335 S. Michigan Ave.) at a TBD rescheduled date due to COVID19.
Pieces will include Henri Dutilleux Sarabande et Cortege, Amos Gillespie Nature’s Palette and Musics, Missy Mazzoli Still Life with Avalanche, Marc Mellits Spam, and Astor Piazzolla Inverno and Otono.

International Double Reed Society
Oboist Andrew Parker, clarinetist Babette Belter, and I were scheduled to perform in June 2020 at the IDRS Conference at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. This event was canceled due to COVID-19, but we hope to be selected in the future to perform again!
Proposed works included Thea Musgrave’s Impromptu and Impromptu No. 2.

I was scheduled to perform Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring with the OKCPhil on Saturday, May 30 at 8pm. Alas, our concert has been cancelled due to COVID-19.
