Babette Belter Faculty Recital

I’ll be joining clarinetist Babette Belter on her OSU Faculty Recital on Friday, January 31 at 7:30pm in the McKnight Center for the Performing Arts Recital Hall. We’ll be performing Heitor Villa-Lobos’ Choros No. 2.

Lakeshore Rush at St. Charles Public Library

We will perform on the Sunday Concert Series at the St. Charles Public Library on Sunday, January 12 at 2pm in the Carnegie Community Room.

Featuring compositions by Debussy, Glass, Jalbert, Mellits, and Menotti.

Flute Duo Recital at St. James Lutheran Church

Flutist Jennifer Wilhelms and I will join forces and present a flute duo recital at the St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chicago, Illinois on Monday, January 6 at 7:30pm.

Join us for the world premiere of Mirrors, our newly commissioned work by Chicago composer Eric Malmquist.

Other works include Katherine Hoover’s Six Simple Duets for Two Flutes, Malmquist’s Sonata for Solo Flute, Shulamit Ran’s Sonatina for Two Flutes, and four pieces by Hermeto Pascoal.

OSU Faculty Flute Recital

Save the date for my Oklahoma State University Faculty Recital on Wednesday, November 20 at 7:30pm in the McKnight Recital Hall.

Works will include Mel Bonis’ Air Vaudois, Franz Doppler’s Air Valaques, Philippe Gaubert’s Sonata No. 3, Thea Musgrave’s Impromptu No. 2, and Joseph Schwantner’s Black Anemones.

Featuring collaborative pianist Pi-Ju Chiang, clarinetist Babette Belter, and oboist Andrew Parker.

I can’t wait to perform with Lakeshore Rush at the Chicago Cultural Center on Thursday, October 31 at 12pm. Our program will include Marcos Balter’s Ignis Fatuus, Seth Boustead’s Three for Zhou, Amos Gillespie’s Musics and Of Nature’s Palette, Pierre Jalbert’s Triple Set, and Bill Ryan’s Blurred.

First Lady of OSU Concert

Together we will perform Bohuslav Martinů’s Trio for flute, cello, and piano.

Lakeshore Rush at Avaloch Farm Music Institute

We are excited to announce that Lakeshore Rush has been awarded a 2019 residency at Avaloch Farm Music Institute in New Hampshire.

The institute provides a unique opportunity for chamber music ensembles to have the time and space to work intensively on repertoire, prepare for recordings, concerts or competitions, work with composers on commissions, and expand upon the groups musical identity.

Our residency will take place June 15-21, 2019.

OKC Philharmonic: Deep German Romanticism

I had the pleasure of subbing on 3rd flute on Oklahoma City Philharmonic’s Deep German Romanticism concert conducted by Alexander Michelthwate on Saturday, May 11 at 8pm.

Works included J. Strauss Jr.’s Kaiser-Walzer, Op. 437, Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in A major with pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, and R. Strauss’ Ein Heldenleben (A Hero’s Life), Op. 40.

The performance will be broadcast on KUCO 90.1 FM on Wednesday, June 5 at 8pm and Saturday, June 8 at 8am on “Performance Oklahoma”.
