Lakeshore Rush at Avaloch Farm Music Institute

We are excited to announce that Lakeshore Rush has been awarded a 2019 residency at Avaloch Farm Music Institute in New Hampshire.

The institute provides a unique opportunity for chamber music ensembles to have the time and space to work intensively on repertoire, prepare for recordings, concerts or competitions, work with composers on commissions, and expand upon the groups musical identity.

Our residency will take place June 15-21, 2019.

Lakeshore Rush at PianoForte Studios

Join us for our yearly PianoForte Studios concert on Friday, June 7 at 8pm!!

Lakeshore Rush will be joined by special guests composer/saxophonist Amos Gillespie and percussionist Josh Graham in this exciting program that features works by midwestern composers. 

Works will include Amos Gillespie's Spanish Speakers and These Questions Three; Philip Glass's Closing from Glassworks; David Lang's These Broken Wings; Gian Carlo Menotti's Trio for clarinet, violin, and piano; Bill Ryan's Blurred; and the Chicago premiere of Roger Zare's Zodiacal Light.

Movie Score Recording: Dreaming Grand Avenue

Other members of Lakeshore Rush and I had a great time recording the movie score by Seth Boustead to the upcoming film Dreaming Grand Avenue on Sunday, May 12.

We look forward to hearing the final product and seeing the film when it’s released!

OKC Philharmonic: Deep German Romanticism

I had the pleasure of subbing on 3rd flute on Oklahoma City Philharmonic’s Deep German Romanticism concert conducted by Alexander Michelthwate on Saturday, May 11 at 8pm.

Works included J. Strauss Jr.’s Kaiser-Walzer, Op. 437, Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in A major with pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, and R. Strauss’ Ein Heldenleben (A Hero’s Life), Op. 40.

The performance will be broadcast on KUCO 90.1 FM on Wednesday, June 5 at 8pm and Saturday, June 8 at 8am on “Performance Oklahoma”.

The American Prize: 3rd Place

Belter Murphy Duo at Women Composers Festival of Hartford

New Music Chicago Presents Lakeshore Rush

Lakeshore Rush’s full ensemble will perform on Sunday, March 24 at 3pm at Guarneri Hall (11 E Adams St, Chicago) as part of a New Music Chicago Impromptu Festival.

Works by Bradfish, Gillespie, Glass, and Menotti.

Special guest percussionist Joshua Graham.

Belter Murphy Duo at the Music by Women Festival

Clarinetist Babette Belter and I will perform at the Music by Women Festival on March 7-9, 2019 at the Mississippi University for Women.

As the Belter Murphy Duo, we will perform two fantastic works by living American women composers: Lita Grier’s 3 x 2 and Chelsea Komschlies’ Steam.

Kansas City Symphony Classical Series

I’m ecstatic to join the Kansas City Symphony on their Classical Series concert from Friday, 11/16/18 through Sunday, 11/18/18!

Oklahoma State University: Faculty Flute Recital

I'm thrilled to perform my first faculty recital at OSU with pianist Pi-Ju Chiang on Tuesday, October 23 at 7pm.

The Oklahoma Flute Society hosted their annual First Round OkMEA All-State & CODA Audition Clinic on Sunday, September 23rd at Putnam City North High School. It was wonderful to be the clinician for the 10th-12th grade clinic.
